Handibear Update:

Okay! Holy cow, what a month! This is it folks, Handibear is in full force, this is our month so lets do this!!!

Team Financial X has been hammering away at the financials, I touched base with Yogi today and she said that she is working on '06 to submit to accounting. I told her that we would also like to have a quick look. Great work, I can't imagine it was easy... - A big shout out to Christina who whipped up a nice ol'Financial Lit test!

Team Branding Elite has broken down the tasks to the following folks...
  • Business cards/letter head/media portfolio - MJ "the temptress" Doucette
  • Letter re-vamp and info pamphlet - Cole "baby-faced" Chappell & Ricky "the machine" Gossen
  • Website re-design and evalution - Garette "the ego-matic" Arsenault

It's been a busy time for Team Future Ed, but we look forward to hearing an update from you soon!! Congrats on the play Colin!

Okay, that's in for now. Some of the marketing team is heading up this Sunday to Handibear for more photos and some discussion. Goals for this month include:

  • Completing financial overview - sharing our knowledge
  • Finishing up all paper work for Chartiable Status
  • Presenting to the BAB

Anything I am missing...?

Project Handibear!

Hello Everyone! Project Handibear is getting off and running. For all those that who haven't found out yet... Big "D" - or David, will be taking the lead on this one, with my fine self, Kristi Eleanora in the mentor seat! We are pumped... and with all your guys' help, this project is going to be a TRUE success. It's all about quality folks, all about quality...

With that aside, we are proud to announce the teams for this project... *drumroll pease!!!*

TEAM FINANCIAL X: Matt, Willy, Christina!
TEAM FUTURE ED: Colin, Amy, Cole!
TEAM BRAND ELITE: MJ, Garette, Ricky!

As of next Wednesday we will meet, and keep an eye open for a briefing email from Big D explaining some additional details. There are lots of fun things to look forward to with this project including: a trip to the ranch, photo opportunities... horse back riding

The key thing to remember... we are doing this to help someone out, what better Christmas gift, you know?! I am so proud of our team, and I am looking forward to see where we can take this!

1) A maze made with bails of hay - where the youth will have to work as a team in order to solve the maze. A group activity that would help with teamwork skills and critical thinking skills as well as there would be accompanying trivia questions that they have to complete as a team. (something along those lines)

2)Once we find out what the kids learn/do at the ranch we can use analogies to help them learn easier. Let's say they're learning to groom a horse - we could talk about the tools you need and relate them to the "tools of success" ( i see a poser coming for this one :P). Post secondary education being one of them.

Lots of other ideas floating in my head but i can't get them into words haha.... can't wait!

Leadership Forum

Thanks to Colin, Mj and Crystal for planning this trip! I know everyone had a blast, and it was definitely a success. The forum itself went well and we definitely learnt a lot. On top of that the drives over were hilarious - in my van at least - and Friday night was quite enjoyable as well. We didn't make it out, but we had fun anyway!

Congratulations to Kristi and Ricky for pulling off a great presentation, we recieved some really good feedback on it!
